The weather finally dried out enough for my guys to get into the hayfield. I've always thought that wheel rakes were interesting to look at -- all those circles and spokes working together in concert. :-)

Sixty-seven years ago, my grandfather, Orville, gave this mother-of-pearl locket to my grandmother, Mickie, on the occasion of their eighth anniversary. The inscription reads "Mick form Orv, 8 Anniv." This was during World War II -- and they were still struggling to make their paychecks last to the end of each week! I'm not sure what was in the center of the flower originally, but for their 40th anniversary, he added the ruby. :-)I'm a little late in sharing these photos -- but here are the pics that I took on Easter. We had good company and good food -- what else could you ask for? Well, maybe good weather too -- but two out of three isn't bad! :-)
